Here’s another clip from the jam at the party in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. I’ll be finishing up production on this song in August.

Welcome to another episode of “Scenic Drive.” This time it’s a trip through downtown Atlanta, Georga at 280 MPH.
Had a fun jam at a friend’s house up in Barrie, Ontario with M.E. Law and Dean Cavill. Here’s an acoustic rendition of “I’m Strange.”
I recently bought a Canon T6i DSLR camera. My first real camera. All the photos I’ve posted in the past on my Instagram page have been taken on my iPhone.
These are from Anna Maria Island. I’ll be here for a few more days, then I’m hitting the road.
You may not know this, but… I’m extremely self-conscious and shy. People often joke about having ADHD, but it can be debilitating. I’ve been dealing with it since high school. I was diagnosed in 2008 at the age of 45. It’s taken me 10 years since to fully understand it. So I thought I’d come out and talk about that.
Music On the Bay was once again put on at world famous Whiskey Joe’s in Tampa – the beach bar with it’s own private island. Here are some photos from the event. Enjoy!
Fun times at Rendezvous 2018! I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while and made some new friends. Got a ton of video footage. Video coming soon.
I arrived on Thursday night just in time to catch Drop Dead Dangerous—a southern rock band from the Knoxville, Tennesee area. They played a great set as always. Definitely one of the highlights of the weekend.
Friday was windy! Had a fun time on the beach nonetheless. The night was topped off by a great couple of sets from Houston’s Jerry Diaz and Hanna’s Reef. Saturday night featured another Texan, Donny Brewer and his band The Dock Rockers, followed by Florida locals and one of my favorites, Jimmy Parish and The Ocean Waves.
Also enjoyed some acoustic sets from Matt Hoggatt, and Thom Shepherd and Coley McCabe, and others.
The Panama City Parrot Head Club did a great job planning and executing the event. Here’s hoping they do it again next year!

This song ‘s about a country boy who’s a songwriter. He writes a song for his momma which eventually gets picked up by radio all over the country. He tells his momma he’s going on tour. He lives the life of a star for a while and kinda falls apart. He realizes that life on the road is not working for him any more. And he goes home to his momma. This songs has been a long time evolving. It started out as an instrumental blues ballad. I gave the chords to Deserie Valloreo to work on the top line and she came up with the original title and lyrics. I had another song that was similar but fast like this version. Just for the heck of it, I played the fast one slow and the slow one fast one night at a gig. Both went over really well. So I wrote another verse (the hurricane verse) and nudged some lyrics here and there and “viola!” Thanks, Des!
This Southern rock instrumental is a tribute to The Allman Brothers who disbanded last year. 🙁 One of the most magical bands I’ve ever seen perform live. This is the title track for my instrumental EP. Thanks to Pablo for letting me use his Texas Strat and Martin acoustic for a couple of the tracks! A lot of work went into this. I hope you enjoy it.
This song started out as a groovy chord progression, as many of the songs I’ve written so far have. For some reason I felt it needed a slow, dreamy intro. I generally improvise and mumble a melody along with the chords until some words start coming out. Kinda like channeling. “Only In My Mind” came to me pretty quickly. I was thinking the song would be about a guy who’s secretly in love with a woman he desires, but it turned into more than that. If you check out the lyrics you’ll see that he’s delusional and bipolar. During the verses he’s talking like she’s in love with him but he’s not in love with her. He says, “I can see right through your girly flirty smile when you give me the time of day.” And then on the choruses he’s realizing that her affection for him is only is his mind and the girl wouldn’t give him the time of day. And he’s imagining that she’s giving his signals when in fact she’s “a million miles away” – it’s only in his mind.
